Matt Andersen returns to the Regent Theatre by popular demand in a new solo show to kick off our Second Annual Rock & Blues Festival. His last performance at the Regent was a huge success, so get your tickets now!
When Matt Andersen steps on stage, he brings a lifetime of music to every note he plays. Andersen’s stage presence is informed by decades of cutting his teeth in dusty clubs, dim-lit bars, and grand theatres all over the world, delivering soulful performances that run the gamut from intimate to wall-shaking. In the studio, he’s always brought the same attention to detail and commitment to craft as he has to his live show, and the result has led him to amass over 28 million streams on Spotify and 26 million views on YouTube.
In addition to receiving multiple awards and headlining major festivals, clubs and theatres throughout North America, Europe, and Australia, he has shared the stage and toured with Marcus King, Beth Hart, Marty Stuart, Greg Allman, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Randy Bachman, Serena Ryder, Tab Benoit, and the list goes on!

Mars Bonfire is coming in from the wild to return to his hometown of Oshawa on Sunday, September 15.
Mars Bonfire (born Dennis McCrohan) wrote the rock mega-hit ‘Born to be Wild’ which introduced the term heavy metal to the world at large, as well as the band Steppenwolf, which had its roots in Toronto's Yorkville scene of the 60's.
For much of the past few decades, the 80 year old Mars Bonfire has been travelling the wilderness of America not as one might suspect on a motorbike, but on foot. He is an accomplished hiker, but he will be in situ at the new Bond St. Event Centre in downtown Oshawa for a special public meet and greet as well as a tribute event.
Three bands will perform covering the psychedelic sounds and songs Mars Bonfire is associated with. This is a ticketed event offering an opportunity for fans to meet, take pictures, and get items signed by the man who penned the rock n' roll anthem of the road.
This is a ticketed event: Tickets are General Admission: $10 plus service fee and tax in advance or $20 at the door.
The documentary is being produced by Paul Koidis in association with Rogers and PBS/WNED.
Last year, as part of the city’s inaugural Convergence Art and Music Festival, Koidis initiated Steppenwolf Day in Oshawa, and during a zoom call on the day, Mars Bonfire said he would return to Oshawa soon. A man of his word as well as the world.
