The RMG encourages families to take some time and enjoy the art making process through creativity and collaboration.
Who has the best adventure journeys? Animals!
This month, we will be inspired by our permanent collection exhibition Journeys to create two artworks featuring beloved Canadian wildlife. In the studio, we will create silhouetted animal paintings while in the gallery exhibition we will texturize critters using watercolour pencil crayons.
Free admission.
This is a drop in event. No registration is required.

CFUW Oshawa & District is hosting a meeting on Wednesday September 14 with Christel from Christel Lake Lavender Farm in Greenback speaking about her family's lavender farm and the beneficial properties of lavender which has long been used for its healing effects, unique fragrance and flavour enhancement properties. Guests are welcome and there is no fee to attend.

Our welcoming Visitor Engagement Assistants will deliver tours of this stunning modern building. Discover the original vision for Oshawa’s public gallery, brought to life in 1969, and how architect Arthur Erickson designed a massive 36,000-square-foot extension that made the gallery what it is today.
Participate in a family-friendly art-making activity
1 PM – 3 PM
Design your OWN gallery! Led by our Learning and Engagement team, this drop in activity will invite you to explore Journeys, the major permanent collection exhibition, through an interactive scavenger hunt; then, use the inspiration you find to create mixed media artworks in the studio.

The RMG Shop is located in the lobby of The Robert McLaughlin Gallery. We feature lovingly crafted, handmade artisanal products from across Ontario as well as a wide selection of Indigenous designed and manufactured products. Each tax-free sale through the RMG not only helps to support local artisans and crafts people, but also goes towards funding our free community programming.

Be inspired at the Donevan Recreation Complex Urban Art Park from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
You will be able to watch artists at work during a live street art painting event and join in on the fun with all-ages art activities with the LivingRoom Mobile Studio. Continue to create and explore Oshawa with a take-home public art activity kit
