City of Oshawa is inviting community members to participate in a community ride starting at Lakeview Park (Parking Lot G at 1557 Kluane Ave.) where cyclists will travel along the Joseph Kolodzie Creek Trail north to City Hall, take a 10-minute water break, and ride back to Lakeview Park. The ride will be approximately one hour.
A Bike Month booth will be set up at the meeting point at Lakeview Park and participants will be provided with giveaways after the bike ride.

Celebrating the unique perspectives and ingenuity of children, Contemporary Kids is an exhibition featuring a collection of collaborative artwork made by artists and kids and interactive installations that allow parents and children to explore and play together. Some of the artists will be onsite to answer your questions and play along! Don’t forget to check out the whimsical exhibition The Big Hat, featuring new sculpture and video work by local artist Tony Romano. This storytelling installation is a feast for the senses and a perfect backdrop for inspiring creativity and family fun.

ROCK STEADY is a collection of popular Durham Region based musicians who have been performing on the live circuit for 40 plus years in a multitude of bands and other projects. When these 5 guys came together, they all shared the same love for the music of Paul Rodgers and his bands, Free, Bad Company, The Firm (w. Jimmy Page). That began the journey to recreate the classic rock sounds of the English supergroup BAD COMPANY.
Rock Steady performs all of BAD COMPANY’s and PAUL RODGERS’ greatest hits, including such classics as Alright Now, Can’t Get Enough, Shooting Star, Feel Like Making Love, Bad Company and much more. Their high energy rock show is guaranteed to have people coming back for more!

Guided by our Youth and Family Programming Assistant, you will be encouraged to explore new techniques, work with a variety of materials, and express your unique personality through art. Each week’s activity is influenced by the artistic trends of youth in the local community to provide a positive outlet in a safe and inclusive environment. We will play around with printmaking, animation, sewing, and more!

The story tells of a former farm girl who has been chosen to wed to a Prince she does not love. She is still in mourning for her former one true love who was a hired farm hand that she believed loved her. While out riding she was kidapped by bandits who then are chased by the Prince and his men during which time she seeks other options to avoid marrying the Prince.

Yoga in the Garden is back! Get your Zen on in the beautiful Henry House Heritage Gardens this summer!
Starting Friday, June 7, at 9 a.m., we’re on the mat and ready to flow. Classes are free drop-in one-hour sessions, with donations accepted. All proceeds go to the Oshawa Museum. This series continues every Friday morning, rain or shine, through September (temperatures permitting).
All levels of yogis are welcome! Please bring any props that support your practice. Also, not all yogis enjoy pets and animals during their practice. If you bring a pet, they must always be on a short leash.

The Losing Art of Plating: Drag Aesthetics, Food Security, and Harm Reduction with Mikiki

In this hands-on workshop, participants will build extravagant plates of highly processed (“junk”) food. Performance Artist and Queer Community Activist Mikiki will lead the workshop, facilitating conversations about the politics of food as it intersects with concepts of beauty, gender representation, drag, food security, and harm reduction. Unpacking the language of “junk food” through creativity and play, this drop-in program is welcoming to people of all ages.
Please note: Various food products will be available in the workshop space, so please take the necessary precautions if you have a food allergy.

Kali Kontour, the sensational drag persona hailing from Oshawa, has been captivating audiences for two fabulous years.
Dank Sinatra is a non-binary drag thing, librarian, and Dora-nominated theater artist who got their start performing on Coast Salish Territories in 2018.
A trans non binary drag king, thing, and everything in between. Born and raised in Southern Ontario, El Experimento has been gracing the stages of Toronto and the East Coast since winter of 2022.
Vital! Contemporary Circus is a small, local circus company founded in 2022 by Oshawa resident Jackie Houghton. Jackie has spent close to 15 years in the circus community as a performer, producer and writer.
In the studio, make D.I.Y. Pride themed pins using polymer clay! This project is simple and fun, no experience required. Ages 12+
