Oak View Group, operators of the Tribute Communities Centre, announce the return of Touch-a-Truck. Oshawa Power presents this year's 11th annual Touch-a-Truck event which will be on Friday, August 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Durham and Northumberland. This free community event will be hosted outside and around the Tribute Communities Centre and is a fun, hands-on event that allows children of all ages to get up close and personal with more than 40 vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Children will love the interactive displays and the opportunity to learn about vehicles from the drivers.

"Touch-a-Truck is a unique event that allows children and families to learn and make memories together," said Oak View Group's William Balfour, Assistant General Manager of Tribute Communities Centre. "The vehicle and community partners’ support over the years have been critical in the success of this event which has generated over $36,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Durham and Northumberland since inception. You’ll be able to feel like a kid again and join us for a day of excitement, community, and giving back!"

While admission to the event is complimentary for all community members, Oak View Group encourages attendees to contribute whatever they can to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Durham and Northumberland at one of their booths. Guests can also indulge their taste buds with our charity BBQ, as we gather to make a difference. While Touch-a-Truck offers free entry, certain activities such as face painting and the BBQ, may involve nominal fees.

Vehicle and community partners for this year’s event are listed below.

Don't forget Kars on King is also happening on Friday, August 22 in downtown Oshawa!

Please note that we will always make our best efforts to hold the Touch-a-Truck event as scheduled but the event is subject to weather conditions.
