The festival is designed to be inclusive for everyone, with a special emphasis on Black, Indigenous, and other marginalized groups. The initiative will culminate in an August showcase at Club Carib of Oshawa, featuring singing, spoken word performances, and a community drum circle celebration. The festival is organized by e-CAMP MENTORing in collaboration with community organizations such as the Durham Neighbourhood Centre, and is supported by a grant from the City of Oshawa.
