Afiwi Groove School Presents: ELEVATE - A Celebration of Culture, Creativity, and Community! Afiwi Groove School is Durham Region's Award Winning African Performing Arts Schoolof the African Diaspora.
Established in 2013, in Ajax, Ontario, Afiwi Groove School empowers, educates, and inspires communities through Arts and Culture. This year Afiwi celebrates 12 years building, healing and bringing the Black community together through African Caribbean Music and Dance. In March 2023, Afiwi Groove School was gifted the Music Counts “Inspired Minds” Juno Award from Kevin Drew and the Canadian Juno Awards.
This recognition among others have transform Afiwi Groove School and elevated the vision of Afiwi youth age 4-29 to embrace their cultural identity and expressions.
