Join us in our efforts to expand the City's tree canopy and support the restoration of Gold Point Wildlife Reserve. Our restoration plantings aim to improve and expand the migratory butterfly stopover and preserve significant wildlife habitat.
Celebrate Oshawa’s Centennial and support the restoration of Gold Point Wildlife Reserve! Join LEAF as we grow Oshawa’s urban tree canopy by planting native trees and shrubs. Help improve this important migratory butterfly stopover and significant wildlife habitat.
Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
The planting event will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Please wear:
Closed-toe shoes or boots – no sandals, please!
Gardening gloves, if you have them (we will have extras)
Appropriate clothing – the event runs rain or shine
This event will involve walking through the gardens on paved walkways. Our route will include uneven, sloped pavement and crossing a pedestrian bridge. For accessibility questions, please contact [email protected].
