HIP HOP 'TIL INFINITY: Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future

Come join us for a day filled with sick beats, dope rhymes, and good vibes!

FREE family friendly communty event in partnership with the City of Oshawa.

Date: Saturday Sept 28th, 2024

Location: Memorial Park, 110 Simcoe St. S.

Time: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

POR AMOR, in partnership with the City of Oshawa proudly presents HIP HOP 'Til Infinity: Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future—a free, family-friendly community event.

HIP HOP 'Til Infinity is a unique event, celebrating the rich legacy and ongoing influence of HIP HOP culture. Our event highlights the contributions of HIP HOP to contemporary arts and culture, its role in promoting knowledge of self, self-expression, and it's postive impact on mental wellbeing.

This event builds on the 50th Anniversary of HIP HOP Culture and seeks to educate and inspire the community about HIP HOP’s legacy as an International Culture, as declared by UNESCO in 2001. Through the elements of HIP HOP , the event aims to empower the Durham Region community, to embrace the principles of HIP HOP culture: Peace, Love, Unity, and Safety Having Fun.

This event features; emcees,poets, beat boxin, break dancin, African Drumming, graffiti artists and DJ’s playing uplifting music. Our event will also feature Black & Indigenous vendors and food trucks to support the economic development of BIPOC business in Durham Region.

WE NEED YOU. This is a collaborative event with local businesses, non-profit organisations and residents coming together to make this event a success for our Durham Region community.

The HIP HOP TIL INFINITY event has the mission to support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) business in Durham Region. For $120 your business will have the opportunity to connect with over 250 individuals and families, network with local businesses, and expand your reach and email list within the Durham community.
