e-CAMP MENTORing cordially invites you to attend the community event Honouring Black Heritage – 2024 City of Oshawa Centennial Celebration taking place on Thursday July 18, 2024, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dr. George Blake Parkette located at 95 Royal Street, Oshawa. An official acknowledgement will be done between 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. but we hope you will be able to spend as much time as possible with us. Limited parking is available at both ends of the park entrance (Royal Street and Avenue Street), just west of Centre Street South.

 As a recipient of the City of Oshawa 2024 Centennial Grant, e-CAMP MENTORing and the Intergenerational Hub in collaboration with our community partners, are proud to celebrate and integrate Black Heritage into the City's centennial history by hosting Honouring Black Heritage – 2024 Oshawa Centennial Celebration. This year is a significant milestone in the evolution of our City; as people of the African diaspora, we would like to mark and celebrate our presence and contributions over these one hundred years. We intend to engage citizens of all ages and backgrounds in a vibrant array of cultural activities including a community drum circle, singing and spoken words by local performing artists, as well as an interactive experience titled 'Mapping Your Journey and Memories of the City'.
