Celebrate Chanukah at Oshawa's Community Menorah Lighting Ceremony at Oshawa City Hall. Chanukah is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime “festival of lights.” During this eight-day celebration, we come together to light the menorah, adding a candle each night, to symbolize the increasing brightness that emerged from a time of darkness. Join the City of Oshawa and Rabbi Tzali Borenstein of the Chabad Jewish Centre of Durham, as we come together on the 5^th night of Chanukah to light the menorah, share traditional Chanukah treats and add more light to our community.
