Orange Shirt Day at the Oshawa Museum - This event has already occurred

The Oshawa Museum is commemorating Truth and Reconciliation Day (Orange Shirt Day) on Sunday, October 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Visit A Carrying Place and learn more about the Indigenous history of this area.
  • See the installation #HopeAndHealingCanada,...
The Oshawa Museum is commemorating Truth and Reconciliation Day (Orange Shirt Day) on Sunday, October 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Visit A Carrying Place and learn more about the Indigenous history of this area.
  • See the installation #HopeAndHealingCanada, by artist Tracey-Mae Chambers (last chance to see!)
  • Participate in the Moccasin Identifier Project by painting a moccasin stencil.
  • Choose an orange ribbon to place at the Orange Ribbon Memorial Wall in Lakeview Park. The Orange Ribbon Memorial Walls are located around Oshawa and are a partnership between Bawaajigewan Aboriginal Community Circle and the City of Oshawa.
