Attend the Advancing Innovation, Diversity and Equity in Employment Career Fair
Durham Region is one of the fastest growing places in Ontario. Through the Confronting Racism in Durham project, the Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre (DRUHC), with the support of community partners, is hosting the Advancing Innovation, Diversity and Equity Employment Career Fair to connect equity-deserving groups with potential employers.
What: Career-seeking attendees can network with employers from Durham Region, and the Greater Toronto Area, who support inclusive and equitable workplaces. Attendees will have access to free workshops on topics including workers’ rights and responsibilities and professional branding. Plus, the first 100 registered attendees will get a free headshot by a professional photographer.
Who: DRUHC’s Confronting Racism in Durham Project, the Region of Durham, Durham Workforce Authority, Municipality of Clarington, Community Development Council Durham and Ajax Public Library. Workshops will be facilitated by local Employment Ontario Service Providers and Durham Community Legal Clinic.
Why: Durham Region is home to a diverse and talented workforce that brings fresh insights and innovation to their work and communities. This career fair promotes the hiring of talent from diverse groups, including Indigenous Peoples, racialized people and others deserving equitable and fair employment.
